Mba Retracts False Claim, Apologizes to Abia Gov’s Spokesman

UMUAHIA – Mr. Chinonyerem Mba has issued a public apology and retraction to Mr. Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, the Chief Press Secretary to the Abia State Governor, for falsely accusing him of instigating police persecution.

The retraction follows a publication made by Mba on October 26, 2025, which wrongly implicated the governor’s aide in his alleged ordeal.

In a statement released on social media, Mba clarified that he has been “reliably informed” that Ukoha Kalu was not behind the incident as he had previously claimed.

“My apologies for any inconveniences that might have caused him,” Mba stated in his retraction.

The public apology seeks to correct the record and mend the reputational damage caused by the initial, erroneous publication
