ABIDJAN – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the official individual awards for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with Nigeria and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman honoured as the tournament’s Best Playmaker.
Lookman recorded the highest number of assists during the competition, driving Nigeria’s attack with creativity and vision throughout their campaign in Morocco.
CAF also announced the following award recipients:
Player of the Tournament: Victor Osimhen (Nigeria)
Golden Boot: Mohamed Amoura (Algeria) – 6 goals
Best Goalkeeper: Yassine Bounou (Morocco)
Best Young Player: Lamine Yamal (Morocco)
Fair Play Award: Senegal
Tournament statistics released show a total of 102 goals scored across 52 matches, with an average stadium attendance of 36,500 per match.
The awards ceremony will be held in July 2026 during the CAF Awards Gala in Cairo.
