In a reflective opinion piece, political analyst Comrade Osinachi David Ekwueme has called on the people of Ikwuano to consider grassroots politician Chika Ishionwu for future elective positions.
Ekwueme compared the empowerment programs of lawmakers from other constituencies—such as Speaker Emeruwa, Hon. Ogah, and Hon. Ginger—with what Ikwuano has received and questioned whether the area’s representatives are maximizing their opportunities.
He praised Ishionwu’s “passion, compassion, responsibility, and servant-leadership mindset,” noting that despite not holding public office, Ishionwu maintains strong grassroots connections and a genuine commitment to service.
The analyst argued that voting for capable individuals should take priority over party affiliation, especially as politicians often switch parties in pursuit of broader impact.
While not specifying the office, Ekwueme expressed strong support for Ishionwu’s political future—with the exception of the governorship, which he jokingly reserved for the incumbent.
