Former Minister and Abia State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, has inaugurated the Abia State chapter of the group, marking a renewed push for grassroots political mobilization.
The event, held at Winners Road in Umuahia, attracted political stakeholders, party leaders, and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the state’s 17 local government areas.
In his address, Ikoh stated that the initiative is designed to strengthen grassroots engagement and promote the policy direction of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda. He explained that the program aims to enhance political awareness, encourage civic participation, and support development-focused governance at state and local levels.
Ikoh emphasized that the Tinubu administration has shown commitment to grassroots development through policies aimed at strengthening subnational governance and improving public service delivery.
The inauguration featured cultural performances by women’s groups from various parts of Abia, adding a vibrant and unifying tone to the gathering.
Political observers suggest the launch of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors is expected to deepen APC’s grassroots presence and improve the party’s organizational structure ahead of future political activities in the state.
