Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma to Tour Ikwuano LGA Monday in Abia Central Consultation

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a frontline aspirant for the Abia Central Senatorial seat, Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma, will pay a consultative visit to Ikwuano Local Government Area on Monday, April 20, 2026, as part of his ongoing tour of the six LGAs in the senatorial district.

The event is scheduled to hold at Oboro Secondary School, Umugbalu, located along the Ikwuano-Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene road, by 10 am.

In a statement issued by Ukandu Albert O., all LGA executives and ward chairmen have been directed to commence the mobilization of AGM ward executives and members in preparation to receive the former federal lawmaker.

Atuma, who represented Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency from 2003 to 2007, has been touring Abia Central to engage stakeholders, party faithful, and community leaders. His visits focus on articulating his vision for quality representation, infrastructure development, and grassroots empowerment.

Political observers note that the Ikwuano visit is particularly significant as it is the home base of the senatorial aspirant. A large turnout is expected as supporters and party members rally behind the APC stalwart.

The tour is part of Atuma’s broader strategy to build consensus and mobilize support across party lines ahead of the primaries. His campaign continues to emphasize substance over rhetoric, with a pledge to deliver tangible development to Abia Central.

All attendees have been urged to arrive promptly as the movement gathers momentum.
