A prominent political voice from Inyila Ibere, Comrade Chukwuemeka Frank Wisdom, has called on the people of Ikwuano Local Government Area to reject tribe‑based and clannish politics, describing such tendencies as outright nepotism that stifles development and unity.
Speaking at a political gathering in Ikwuano, Comrade Frank Wisdom warned that allowing narrow clan sentiments to determine leadership choices would only perpetuate underdevelopment and rob the constituency of quality representation. “Tribe and clannish politics is nepotism, and Ikwuano must resist it. We need leaders who will serve everyone, not just their immediate clan,” he declared.
In a significant move, the Inyila Ibere‑born chieftain threw his weight behind Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu, whom he described as a unifier with a clear development agenda for all of Ikwuano. He urged the people to look beyond clan lines and support Ishionwu as the candidate best equipped to deliver good governance and grassroots empowerment.
“Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu is not a clannish politician. He has a vision for all of Ikwuano. I am proud to support him,” Comrade Frank Wisdom added.
The endorsement is expected to boost Ishionwu’s campaign as he seeks to represent Ikwuano in the Abia State House of Assembly, promoting an inclusive agenda that prioritises competence, character, and progress over parochial interests.
