Atuma Declares for Abia Central Senate in Ikwuano, Promises Grassroots-Driven Representation

Ikwuano Local Government Area witnessed the emergence of a focused and purposeful movement as Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma formally declared his ambition for the Abia Central Senatorial seat, unveiling a vision rooted in responsive representation and tangible development.

The event, held in Ikwuano, a vital bloc within the senatorial zone, reflected a candidate determined to connect deeply with the grassroots. From the choice of venue to the tone of engagement, Atuma signaled a campaign built on accessibility, inclusion, and direct engagement with the people.

In his address, the former federal lawmaker spoke to everyday concerns of the electorate—youth unemployment, infrastructural gaps, and economic opportunities—while presenting himself as a leader ready to listen, engage, and act. “I am not here to make promises to you; I am here to work with you,” he stated, drawing a strong response from the crowd.

The turnout included youth groups, community stakeholders, and local leaders, all visibly engaged and signaling early momentum and acceptance of his candidacy.

Atuma, who previously represented Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency (2003–2007), reminded the gathering of his track record, challenging other aspirants to show their scorecards.

With this declaration, the Abia Central senatorial race has entered an active phase, and Atuma has positioned his ambition as a call for renewed engagement between leadership and the people.
