No Pay, No Play: Radio Station Goes Silent

ABUJA – Abuja Municipal FM 95.3 is off the air. Indefinitely.

The reason? The staff haven’t been paid. For 15 months.

Fed up, they walked out. “No salaries, no broadcasts,” a union rep said.

The station is owned by the local council. Staff accuse management of mismanaging funds while they struggle to pay rent and buy food.

The result? Dead air. A community has lost its local voice.

The strike holds until all back pay is delivered. No money, no music.
