Police Confirm Arrest of Four Suspects Linked to Adelabu’s Sister’s Abduction

The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the arrest of four suspects in connection with the abduction of Mrs. Folashade Adelabu, sister of the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.

Mrs. Adelabu was kidnapped along the Ibadan-Oyo Road last Tuesday by gunmen who reportedly intercepted her vehicle. In a press briefing on Sunday, Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the arrests were made following coordinated intelligence-led operations in Oyo and Osun States.

“Four suspects are now in custody, and they are currently assisting with ongoing investigations,” Adejobi stated. He added that the victim remains in captivity, but security forces are closing in on the kidnappers’ hideout.

The police assured Nigerians that all resources are being deployed to ensure her safe release without harm. No ransom demand has been officially confirmed.

Minister Adelabu has reportedly been briefed and expressed gratitude for the swift response of security agencies.
