NDA Dismisses Admission Exclusion Claims, Says Process Remains Fair

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has dismissed social media claims that certain categories of applicants are being deliberately excluded from its admission process.

In a statement released on Sunday, the NDA Public Relations Officer described the allegations as “false and misleading,” urging the public to disregard them entirely.

“Admission into the NDA is strictly based on merit, federal character principles, and successful completion of screening tests and interviews. No qualified candidate is excluded on any spurious grounds,” the statement read.

The clarification follows online reports suggesting that candidates from specific states or ethnic backgrounds were being systematically denied admission. The NDA labeled such claims as the work of mischief-makers seeking to discredit the institution.

The academy reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and fairness in producing disciplined military officers. Prospective candidates were advised to rely only on official NDA portals and publications for accurate information.
