‘We’ve Tested Aguocha and He Failed Us’ — Constituents Declare Orji Only Path Back to Development

Voices from across Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency are growing louder and more unified — constituents have rendered their verdict on the incumbent Hon. Obi Aguocha, and they are looking firmly to Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji as the beacon who can restore the constituency to the path of development, empowerment, and purposeful representation.

Speaking at a well-attended town hall meeting in Umuahia on Tuesday, community leaders and youth groups expressed frustration over what they described as three wasted years of “zero constituency projects, absent representation, and empty political slogans.

Residents and stakeholders across the constituency painted a damning picture of the current representation — one marked by absence, zero accountability for billions in allocated funds, and a federal lawmaker they say abandoned grassroots concerns in favour of Abuja jamborees while his constituency stagnated.

“We have tested Aguocha and he cannot account for ₦100 billion meant for this constituency. He went to Abuja for jamboree and flexing. Only Chinedum Orji can return us to the developmental track and the empowerment our people deserve.”

“We voted for Obi Aguocha based on the Obi wave, but we have tested him and he failed us. No roads, no boreholes, no empowerment. We cannot afford another four years of stagnation,” a ward chairman said.

The group declared that Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji remains the only path back to meaningful development and grassroots empowerment, citing his track record as Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly.

“We know what Orji did. He empowered youths, built infrastructure, and touched lives. That is the leader we want in the National Assembly,” another constituent added.
