TikToker Peller Reveals Ordeal in Detention, Says ‘Nobody Cared About Me’

LAGOS – Popular TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, has recounted the distressing experience of his one-week detention following a car accident on the Lekki-Epe Expressway last month, lamenting that he felt abandoned by many celebrity acquaintances.

Peller, who crashed his car during a live stream in what he described as an unintentional incident, said he struggled to eat and felt mentally and physically broken while in custody.

In an emotional reflection, he expressed disappointment at the lack of support from fellow celebrities, stating, “I called on many celebrities to help my life; I will tell you who came and who did not. Nobody cared about me; I looked like a useless boy.”

He did, however, express gratitude to his fans, whose advocacy contributed to his release.

The incident, which drew widespread attention on social media, has sparked conversations about mental health, solidarity among public figures, and the pressures of online fame.

Peller, known for his comedy skits and large following, hinted at taking time to recover and refocus following the traumatic episode.
