HoS Admits Errors as Reps Uncover Irregular Approvals

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoS) has admitted that administrative mistakes occurred in the processing of documents relating to the Presidential Fiscal and Infrastructure Projects Council (PFIPC), as the House of Representatives continues its investigation into the agency.

CDA News Nigeria independently verified that lawmakers uncovered several irregular approvals linked to the establishment and operations of the council. CDA News Nigeria gathered the news from the report.

Chairman of the investigative committee, Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, said findings from the Nigeria Police Force, the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation and other government institutions revealed inconsistencies surrounding the council’s approval process.

According to the committee, the PFIPC scandal irregular approvals include questions over the authenticity of the Director-General’s appointment letter and documents allegedly used to facilitate the establishment of the agency.

The HoS acknowledged that lapses occurred during the handling of official correspondence but assured lawmakers that measures would be taken to strengthen internal verification procedures and prevent similar occurrences.
