The Nigerian Army has arrested four suspected logistics suppliers linked to the Boko Haram terrorist group during a counter-insurgency operation in Borno State.
The suspects were apprehended by troops while carrying out intelligence-led operations aimed at disrupting the supply chain supporting terrorist activities in the North-East.
Military authorities said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to weaken insurgent networks by cutting off access to food, fuel, medicines and other essential supplies used by the terrorists.
According to the Army, investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the logistics network and ensure they are brought to justice. Troops also reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining operations against insurgents and restoring lasting peace across the region.
