A cosmetic clinic in Bangkok, Thailand, has disclosed that Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo underwent five penile filler procedures at the facility before his death in March, CDA News Nigeria reports.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the disclosure came from Thailand’s Department of Health Service Support (DHSS), under the Ministry of Public Health, in a statement issued on Tuesday following an inspection of the clinic on Rama I Road, Pathum Wan district.
According to the DHSS, the clinic said Ubiribo, 43, had been a regular patient since 2024, undergoing four procedures between 2024 and 2025 before returning for a fifth on March 5, 2026, during which he received 40cc of filler.
The clinic said its doctor had recommended splitting the final treatment into two sessions, but Ubiribo opted for a single sitting.
His wife, Danielle Allen, told medical personnel he went for a massage after the procedure but later developed chest pain and lost consciousness twice before being rushed to a private hospital, where doctors suspected a blood clot.
He died the following day. A postmortem later found material in his lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used in the procedure, with a UK coroner’s inquest also linking the treatment to a fatal pulmonary embolism.
Thailand’s Health Minister has directed the DHSS and the Food and Drug Administration to determine whether the clinic complied with medical standards.
CDA News Nigeria will continue to monitor this developing investigation.
