Since Big Brother Naija returned in 2017, disqualification has remained one of the harshest penalties handed to housemates who cross the show’s rules, CDA News Nigeria reports.
Unlike eviction, which is decided by viewers’ votes, disqualification is imposed directly by Big Brother after a contestant is found to have seriously breached the house rules. CDA News Nigeria gathered the full list below:
1. Kemen (2017) – Removed from See Gobe after he was caught touching housemate TBoss without her consent while she slept.
2. Khloe (2018) – Disqualified from Double Wahala after accumulating three strikes for aggressive conduct and confrontations.
3. K-Brule (2018) – Exited alongside Khloe the same day, also over repeated rule violations.
4. Tacha (2019) – Sent home from Pepper Dem following a physical altercation with Mercy Eke.
5. Erica (2020) – Disqualified from Lockdown after abusive language and defiance toward fellow housemates.
6. Beauty (2022) – Removed just two weeks into Level Up for throwing objects at Groovy during an argument.
7. Ibu Prisca (2024) – Withdrawn from Season 9 before entering the house over a confidentiality breach.
8. Faith (2025) – Disqualified from Season 10 days to the finale after assaulting Sultana.
The latest addition, Nomy, was removed from Season 11’s Show Ya Sef house on September 7, 2026, after repeatedly defying instructions tied to a punishment.
