New Air Chief Pledges Loyalty, Prioritizes Personnel Welfare

In a formal ceremony held at the NAF Headquarters on Thursday, Air Vice Marshal Sunday Aneke officially assumed office as the 23rd Chief of the Air Staff.

AVM Aneke described his appointment as a call to national duty and expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu. He pledged the unwavering loyalty of the entire Nigerian Air Force to the President and the Constitution.

“I promise to ensure that the welfare needs of all officers, airmen, airwomen and their family members are promptly addressed to motivate them for improved productivity,” Aneke stated in his inaugural address. He emphasized that a motivated force is essential for achieving operational efficiency.

The new Air Chief also vowed to sustain the gains made by his predecessor in ongoing counter-terrorism operations. He pledged to work closely with other security agencies to bring about a swift improvement in the nation’s security.

The event was attended by senior military officers and heads of security formations.
