YPP Expels Federal Lawmaker For Endorsing APGA’s Soludo

…..Anambra Rep, Peter Uzokwe, removed from party after viral video surfaces.

The Young Progressives Party (YPP) has expelled Hon. Peter Uzokwe, the lawmaker representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.

The party’s National Working Committee announced the expulsion on Monday, citing allegations of anti-party activities and gross misconduct.

The decision followed a widely circulated video where Uzokwe was seen instructing his supporters to back Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the upcoming Anambra governorship election.

In the footage, Uzokwe declared, “YPP is not contesting any election… I have told them to collapse it for His Excellency Chukwuma Soludo.”

The YPP leadership condemned his statements as false, misleading, and a deliberate act of sabotage. The party also clarified that Uzokwe was not its national leader, a position that has been vacant since the passing of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.
