A well-attended family thanksgiving service was held in honour of Rep. Sir Sam Onuigbo (Odizi Obodo Gburugburu) and his wife, Pastor Dame Princess Onuigbo, at the Methodist Church, Obuohi Ibere, in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State.
The event drew a high-profile gathering of prominent politicians, nationalists, and major stakeholders from the national and Southeast political landscape.
Among the dignitaries were the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ben Kalu; the Senator representing Abia Central, Senator Austin Akobundu; the Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Chief Henry Ikoh; former NDDC Chairman Chief Onyema Ugochukwu; former Speaker Rt. Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka; and the current House of Representatives member for Ikwuano/Umuahia, Hon. Obi Aguocha ,Hon.Chinedum Kanu. The occasion was also graced by His Eminence, Dr. Oliver Ali Aba JP. , the Prelate, ecclesiastical, priestly, pastoral, and administrative Head of the Methodist Church Nigeria, other clergy and traditional rulers.
In their testimony, Rep. Sam Onuigbo and his wife expressed profound gratitude to God for His favour, goodness, elevation, and the gift of life. They shared moving accounts of God’s grace and blessings in their lives.
The reception following the thanksgiving service was held at the Onuigbo family’s country home in Obuohia Ibere, Ikwuano.
