ADC Slams Silence Over Ozoro Assaults, Demands Arrests

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the recent assaults in Ozoro, condemning what it described as a disturbing breakdown of law and order.

In a strongly worded statement, the party criticized the silence of Sheriff Oborevwori, urging the Delta State Government to take swift and decisive action to restore public confidence.

According to the ADC, the reported attacks on residents and political actors in Ozoro highlight growing insecurity and intolerance, which could undermine democratic processes if not urgently addressed.

The party warned that failure to act promptly may embolden perpetrators and erode trust in the state’s ability to protect lives and property. It stressed that justice must not only be done but be seen to be done.

ADC further called on security agencies to launch a thorough investigation, identify those involved, and ensure they face the full weight of the law.

While expressing solidarity with victims, the party urged citizens to remain calm and law-abiding, even as it pressed authorities for accountability.

The development has sparked wider debate on governance and security in Delta State, with observers calling for stronger leadership and proactive crisis management.
