The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Kuwait has issued a safety advisory to Nigerian nationals residing in Kuwait and Bahrain, urging them to remain vigilant and adhere strictly to host government directives amid escalating military tensions in the Middle East .

In a circular dated March 1, 2026, the Embassy, which has concurrent accreditation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, advised Nigerians in both countries to stay calm and monitor official announcements from local authorities .

“In view of the prevailing circumstances in the region, the Embassy wishes to advise all Nigerian nationals in both countries to remain vigilant, observe safety guidelines, advisories from the host governments, and remain calm at all times,” the circular stated .

The Embassy further encouraged nationals to keep track of local news and official government communications, noting that it is closely monitoring developments and maintaining contact with community leaders .

To ensure seamless communication, the mission announced the creation of a dedicated mobile and WhatsApp line for inquiries and updates. Nigerians were advised to contact the Embassy via email at nigeriakuwait@yahoo.com or call/WhatsApp +965 9923 8835 . The advisory comes amid reports that on February 28, the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iranian leadership and military targets in operations reportedly named Operation Epic Fury and Operation Raging Lion .
