The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Abia State, Chief Eric Opah, has called for unity among party members following the issuance of his nomination form by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement issued on Sunday, Opah described his emergence as the party’s candidate as a victory for the entire APC family, stressing that there was “no victor and no vanquished.”
He thanked God, party leaders, stakeholders, delegates, supporters, and members of the APC for their support throughout the nomination process.
Opah also extended appreciation to fellow aspirant, Chief Henry Ikoh, describing him as a patriot committed to the development of Abia State. He urged all party members to put aside differences and work together to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The APC candidate commended the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, for his role in repositioning the party in Abia State.
He pledged that, if elected, his administration would focus on infrastructure, industrialisation, youth empowerment, agriculture, workers’ welfare and prudent management of public resources.
Opah maintained that the task ahead is to deliver good governance and sustainable development for the people of Abia State.
