Order From Abuja to Detain Me” – Abia Woman Narrates Ordeal Ahead of Remand Hearing
Tochi Oluebube alleges persecution over Facebook posts linked to governor’s aide.

A young woman from Osisioma Ngwa, Tochi Oluebube, has raised an alarm over what she calls a politically motivated plan to have her remanded in prison over cyberbullying allegations she denies.

In a detailed online statement titled “MY ORDEAL AND THE PLAN TO SEND ME TO AFARA TOMORROW,” Oluebube claimed she was invited by the Abia State CID on December 2, detained despite cooperating, and told the “order came from Abuja.” She was released on December 3, but now faces a remand hearing today, December 18.

Oluebube insists the petition – linked to Lady Vivian Irondi – is not about any crime but about Facebook posts she made. She stated, “I have never visited Ikem Nvosi… I don’t even know them offline.”

She alleged the charge was altered from kidnapping to “conspiring with 10 youths to cyberbully,” using a comment made by another person, Ekele Gaius, who is already facing separate charges.

In an emotional appeal, she called on Ngwa leaders and deities for justice, saying, “My blood is in that woman’s hands… I am ready to die in your hands.”

The case highlights growing concerns about the use of state power in settling personal and political scores online.
