ABUJA – In a sweeping overhaul of the nation’s security architecture, President Bola Tinubu has sacked all service chiefs and the heads of the police and paramilitary agencies.
The move, announced on Monday by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, signals a definitive end to the tenure of the security chiefs appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The mass retirement is expected to affect over 50 generals across the Army, Navy, and Air Force, who will now proceed on compulsory retirement.
