Wike Says He’s Watching Oyo PDP, Party’s Survival

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that he is closely watching developments within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State out of concern for the party’s survival and strength.

Speaking at the PDP’s 105th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Monday, Wike emphasized his commitment to the party’s progress and dismissed allegations that members were being intimidated.

“Who will intimidate us to the end? Some of us, by the grace of God, do not see what anyone can threaten us with,” he said, adding that recent court rulings have settled the leadership tussle in favor of the recognized caretaker committee.

Wike’s comments come amid his political rift with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, both of whom have backed different factions in the party’s internal crisis.
