Ishionwu Urges Unity, Progress Among Nigerians

IKWUANO, NIGERIA — A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chika Ishionwu, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and collective progress as Muslims celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.

In his goodwill message marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, Ishionwu congratulated Muslim faithful for their devotion, discipline, and commitment to spiritual growth throughout the fasting period. He noted that the lessons of sacrifice, compassion, and tolerance learned during Ramadan should be sustained beyond the celebration.

“Eid-el-Fitr is not just a time of celebration, but also a period for reflection on the values that bind us together as a people. We must continue to promote unity, peaceful coexistence, and understanding across all religious and ethnic divides,” he said.

Ishionwu emphasized that Nigeria’s development depends largely on the ability of its citizens to work together in harmony, irrespective of differences. He urged leaders at all levels to prioritize policies and actions that foster inclusiveness and national cohesion.

He further called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to building a better nation, stressing that sustainable progress can only be achieved in an environment of peace and mutual respect.

The APC stalwart also wished Muslim faithful a joyful Eid celebration, praying that the season brings renewed hope, blessings, and prosperity to families across the country.
