AKURE, NIGERIA – The Ondo State chapter of the Renewed Hope Youth Alliance has officially endorsed former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Princess Catherine Odu, to represent Ondo South Senatorial District in the Senate.
This endorsement follows the nomination of Senator Jimoh Ibrahim for a UN ambassadorial appointment, creating an expected vacancy in the Upper Chamber.
At a press conference in Akure on Wednesday, the group’s State Coordinator, Samuel Olopade, passed a vote of confidence in Odu, describing her as a “beacon of hope” and a remarkable leader.
The group, a strong supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, praised Odu’s extensive background in public service, governance, and women’s development.
“Princess Odu is the right choice to continue the dividends of democracy and support the Renewed Hope agenda in Ondo South,” Olopade stated.Odu, who previously served as the SSG in the state, is expected to bring her wealth of experience to the Senate as preparations for the 2027 general elections intensify.
