President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently meeting with the 36 state coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, in what political observers describe as a major coordination meeting ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Also in attendance at the high-level gathering are Vice President Kashim Shettima, All Progressives Congress (APC) governors, the newly appointed APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, and other senior party leaders.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors is a grassroots mobilization group established by President Tinubu on November 25, 2025, specifically designed to promote his reelection bid in 2027. The group operates across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, focusing on voter education, community engagement, and advocacy for the president’s policies.
Sources at the Villa indicate that the meeting is aimed at reviewing the group’s performance so far, harmonizing strategies, and issuing directives for the next phase of mobilization. Discussions are also expected to cover the coordination between the RHA and official APC structures at the state and local government levels.
President Tinubu is seeking a second term in office, and the Renewed Hope Ambassadors are seen as a critical component of his campaign machinery. The group has been active in organizing town halls, sensitization rallies, and grassroots outreach programs across the country.
As the 2027 elections draw closer, more strategic meetings of this nature are anticipated. Details of the outcome are expected to be released after the meeting concludes.
