In furtherance of his quest to clinch the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Abia Central Senatorial District, frontline aspirant Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma paid a courtesy visit to a former Chairman of Isialangwa South Local Government and former member representing Isialangwa North/South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chief Damian Anayo Ozurumba, at his country home in Mbutu Isiala Nvosi.
Chief Ozurumba welcomed Atuma and his entourage with open arms, stating that the road to the Senate for Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma is one that will benefit all, irrespective of clan or local government.
He further noted that he is conversant with Atuma’s ability, recalling their relationship dating back to 2003–2007 when both represented their respective constituencies at the Green Chamber. “If Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma goes to the Senate, each and everyone will benefit from it,” Ozurumba declared.
In his response, Atuma told the former Reps member that he is the best candidate to represent Abia Central in the Red Chambers. The former Ikwuano/Umuahia federal lawmaker noted that he has the capacity, integrity, and strength to win the election for the party in the senatorial district.
“I am here to pay homage to a brother, friend, and colleague,” Atuma said.
The Director General of the Atuma Campaign, Hon. Chidi Nwosu, also rose to thank the former lawmaker for the warm reception accorded the delegation during their visit.
