Movement Says Suspension is to Protect Integrity, Allow Unhindered Investigation

The City Boy Movement, a political support group aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, has suspended its South-West Zonal Coordinator for the Women’s Wing, Mrs. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) declared her wanted .

The EFCC issued a notice on Monday, April 27, 2026, stating that the 41-year-old businesswoman is wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged obtaining money by false pretense . According to the anti-graft agency, her last known address is House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja .

In a swift reaction, the City Boy Movement announced Tejuosho’s immediate suspension in a statement released shortly after the EFCC’s public notice.

“Consequently, and in line with the Movement’s unwavering commitment to integrity, discipline, accountability, and respect for the rule of law, we hereby announce the immediate suspension of Mrs. Tejuosho from her office as South-West Zonal Coordinator, Women Wing, with effect from today,” the statement read .

The group described the suspension as a “necessary administrative measure” to protect its image and credibility, stressing that it maintains a “zero-tolerance stance against misconduct, criminality, or any act capable of bringing the organisation into disrepute” .

The EFCC has urged anyone with information on Tejuosho’s whereabouts to report to its offices nationwide or contact the nearest security agency .
