India has broken its silence and issued a strong and unequivocal condemnation of the drone strike on the United Arab Emirates, with New Delhi expressing deep concern over the attack and reaffirming its steadfast commitment to regional stability, the protection of civilian lives, and the sovereignty of friendly nations.
The Indian government’s condemnation, delivered through official diplomatic channels, described the strike as a reckless and destabilising act of aggression that threatens the peace and security of the Gulf region — a part of the world where India maintains deep strategic, economic, and people-to-people ties.
India’s reaction carries particular significance given the presence of a massive Indian diaspora community in the UAE, estimated at over 3.5 million people, making it one of the largest expatriate populations in the Gulf state. The safety and wellbeing of Indian nationals living and working in the UAE remain a top priority for New Delhi.
The drone strike has drawn widespread international condemnation, with world leaders and regional powers calling for accountability and restraint in what has become an increasingly volatile security environment across the Middle East and Gulf region.
India also used the occasion to reiterate its long-standing position against terrorism and cross-border violence in all its forms, calling on all parties to pursue diplomatic solutions and de-escalation rather than military provocations that endanger innocent civilian lives.
The UAE government has acknowledged India’s condemnation and the expressions of solidarity from the international community as it continues to assess the full impact of the attack and coordinate its response.
