Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo, has raised a serious alarm, alleging that opposition parties have already written the results for the November 6 governorship election.
The governor issued the warning on Monday during a campaign rally in Awka, stating that those behind the plot will not succeed.
According to Soludo, the opponents, who he claimed cannot win their own polling units, are planning to thwart the people’s will by importing thugs and submitting falsified result sheets.
“We don’t want election that is mago mago (fraudulent). Our opponents… they already have the result sheet to write the election results. We are waiting for them,” Soludo declared.
He asserted that Anambra is a “fortress” of determined people and no force can subvert their collective will, promising that the alleged riggers would fail.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has yet to respond to these allegations.
