INEC Declares Soludo Winner of Anambra Governorship Election

AWKA – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Professor Chukwuma Soludo the winner of the November 8 Anambra State governorship election.

The incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) secured a decisive victory, polling 422,664 votes. His closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), garnered 99,445 votes.

The announcement was made on Sunday by the Returning Officer, Prof. Edogah Omoregie, at the INEC headquarters in Awka. The result confirms Soludo’s return for a second term, following an election that saw APGA maintain its stronghold in the state.
