Orji Dares Aguocha to Present Scorecard, Rejects Corruption Allegations

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, has dismissed corruption allegations made against him by the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Obi Aguocha, describing them as political blackmail aimed at misleading voters ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking through his campaign strategist, Comrade Paul Njoku, Orji maintained that no court in Nigeria has convicted him of any wrongdoing. He argued that investigations by anti-graft agencies do not amount to guilt and urged Aguocha to focus on defending his record in the House of Representatives.

Orji challenged the Labour Party lawmaker to provide a verifiable account of his legislative achievements, constituency projects, and oversight activities, alleging that the people of the constituency have not felt the impact of his representation.

Highlighting his tenure as former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Orji pointed to several laws and constituency projects he facilitated, including social reform legislation, infrastructure initiatives, and community development projects.

He called on voters to prioritise performance, the rule of law, and facts over political sensationalism as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
