Name-Dropping Nnamdi Kanu Won’t Save You — Chinedum Orji Fires Back at Obi Aguocha

The former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and APC candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, has fired back at the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Obi Aguocha, declaring that name-dropping Nnamdi Kanu will not save him from losing his seat.

Speaking through his political adviser, Comrade Paul Njoku, on Family Love FM in Umuahia, Orji dismissed Aguocha’s allegations that he is an EFCC candidate, stressing that no court in Nigeria has found him guilty of corruption or any financial crime.

“It is legally irresponsible, politically mischievous and morally indefensible for anybody to portray Chinedum Orji guilty when no court in Nigeria has convicted him of any offence whatsoever,” Orji stated.

He cited constitutional provisions on presumption of innocence, including Section 36(5) of the 1999 Constitution, insisting that investigation does not translate to guilt.

Orji also accused Aguocha of abysmal poor performance, listing over 100 projects he executed as Speaker, including water projects, mini stadiums, road constructions, school renovations, transformers, and legislative strides.

“Aguocha’s purported scholarships and houses for indigents are unfounded. His representation is not felt,” Orji fumed.

“Let me mention some of his scorecard amongst others”.
