Osun Protesters Rally for Safe Return of Abducted Oyo Pupils and Teachers

Residents and civil society groups in Osun State have taken to the streets to demand the immediate release of pupils and teachers abducted by gunmen in Oyo State.

The protesters, carrying placards with messages such as “Bring Back Our Children” and “Protect Our Schools,” called on the Federal Government and security agencies to intensify efforts to secure the safe return of the victims.

The demonstration, which remained peaceful, highlighted growing concerns over the increasing attacks on schools and the safety of children and educators across the country.

Participants urged authorities to treat the rescue mission as a national priority, stressing that every child has the right to education in a safe environment.

They also appealed to Nigerians to remain united in demanding justice for the victims and stronger measures to prevent future attacks on schools.

The protest comes amid heightened public anxiety over the fate of the abducted pupils and teachers, with families continuing to await positive news regarding their safe return.
