President Tinubu described Abdulsalami as a statesman whose leadership during Nigeria’s transition to democratic rule in 1999 remains a significant chapter in the nation’s history.
He noted that the establishment of the centre would help preserve the former Head of State’s legacy while inspiring future generations to embrace patriotism, service, and nation-building.
The FCT Administration is expected to commence the necessary processes for the land allocation in line with the President’s directive.
The proposed facility is also expected to contribute to policy discussions, historical documentation, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening governance and national cohesion.
