Onuigbo Applauds Tinubu as FG Successfully Evacuates 308 Nigerians from South Africa

The Global President of GLOBE Legislators, Rt. Hon. Sam Onuigbo, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the successful completion of the Federal Government’s evacuation exercise that brought 308 Nigerians safely home from South Africa.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that Onuigbo described the evacuation as a reflection of the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting the welfare and safety of Nigerians living abroad, particularly during emergencies.

According to him, the successful repatriation demonstrates responsive leadership and underscores the importance of prioritising the well-being of Nigerian citizens wherever they reside. He also applauded the ministries, agencies, and officials involved in coordinating the operation, noting that their collective efforts ensured the safe return of the evacuees.

Onuigbo further urged the Federal Government to sustain policies that strengthen Nigeria’s consular services and guarantee timely support for citizens facing challenges outside the country. He stressed that proactive engagement with Nigerians in the diaspora remains essential for national development and public confidence.
