Ahead of the 2027 general elections, stakeholders and opinion leaders in Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency have expressed support for Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, citing what they described as his experience, leadership record and grassroots connection.
CDA News Nigeria gathered from a statement by the stakeholders that Chinedum Orji Ikwuano/Umuahia Reps seat remains a major topic of political discussion within the constituency.
According to the stakeholders, Orji’s experience as former Majority Leader and Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly gives him an advantage in legislative work. They argued that his understanding of parliamentary procedures and ability to attract development projects make him a strong contender.
The stakeholders also highlighted Orji’s “Direct Touch Initiative,” which they said delivered youth empowerment programmes, scholarships, ICT training, vocational skills acquisition, mini-stadiums, school renovations, rural electrification and water projects across Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South.
CDA News Nigeria reports that supporters further cited his promise of regular town hall meetings, constituency offices, social contract agreements and efforts to attract federal infrastructure projects through legislative influence.
They maintained that Chinedum Orji Ikwuano/Umuahia Reps seat represents a transition from state-level leadership to national representation, expressing confidence that his experience and political network would benefit the constituency if elected.
