LONDON — With only a few weeks remaining before the 2026 Ballon d’Or winner is announced in London, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as the clubs with the most nominees in their current squads.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that both clubs boast nine nominees each, underscoring their dominance in world football. Behind Real Madrid and PSG are Barcelona and Bayern Munich, with seven nominees each.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the Ballon d’Or nominees include some of the biggest names in the sport. Among the nominees are England captain Harry Kane, who has been named the top contender for the trophy for the first time in his career.
Other nominees include Manchester City midfielder Rodri, Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé, Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé, and Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
The Ballon d’Or ceremony is scheduled for October 28, 2026, in London, where the winner will be crowned.
