…Backers Cite Trust, Delivered Projects as Basis for Continuity Bid
The campaign flag-off of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in Abia North has drawn what supporters describe as a massive turnout, with backers presenting it as evidence of the lawmaker’s acceptance among constituents ahead of the 2027 general elections.
CDA News Nigeria reports that in a statement by a supporter who witnessed the event, the turnout was described as “concrete evidence” that constituents are united in their support for the Senator, popularly known as OUK.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the supporter attributed the support to trust, environmental transformation, and what was described as the Senator’s habit of aligning words with action, keeping promises, and correcting mistakes where necessary.
The statement said the support base is built on “deep-rooted core behavioural, ethical and broader interpersonal relationships” between the constituents and their representative, adding that this has made the zone an envy of others.
The supporter also declared that Kalu’s continuity in 2027 is already “conceptualised,” describing him as a performing representative.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the claims of massive acceptability and delivered promises are attributed to the supporter and have not been independently verified. The 2027 Abia North senatorial contest is expected to feature candidates from several political parties.
