…Suspect Allegedly Struck Victim With Pestle, Weapon Recovered
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old woman, Hauwa’u Haruna, for the alleged killing of her co-wife, Jamila Adamu, during a domestic dispute in Bauchi.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, September 28, 2026, saying the incident occurred at Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate on Sunday.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that according to the statement, Hauwa’u allegedly picked up a pestle and struck Jamila on the forehead during the dispute.
Police detectives attached to the C Division were mobilised to the scene following a report of the incident. The victim was rushed to the Specialist Hospital, Bauchi, where she was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
The police said the suspect was arrested, and the pestle allegedly used in the incident was recovered.
