The Nigerian Army has announced significant successes in its nationwide security operations over the past 48 hours, rescuing 25 kidnapped victims and apprehending 10 suspects.
According to a source at Army Headquarters, the coordinated efforts spanned the North East, North West, North Central, and South South regions.
Key operations included troops of Operation Hadin Kai destroying terrorist enclaves in Borno and recovering weapons. In Kebbi and Sokoto states, troops rescued kidnapped victims and arrested a suspected arms dealer attempting to procure rifles from a soldier.
In the Federal Capital Territory, troops rescued one of two abducted victims in the Bwari Area Council and apprehended two suspects. Operations in Kaduna led to the rescue of 10 victims and the recovery of N1.6 million in ransom cash.
The source also confirmed that nine passengers abducted by sea pirates were rescued along the Oron-Ibaka Waterways in the South-South region.
The military stated that troops across all theatres are continuing aggressive patrols and intelligence-driven missions to protect citizens and deny criminals freedom of action.
