Ex-Lagos Deputy Governor Loses Son

Tragedy has struck the political family of former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, with the death of her only son, Dr. Oluwafemi Olawale Adefulire.

The medical doctor, based in the United Kingdom, reportedly died early Wednesday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, following an undisclosed surgical procedure. He is survived by his wife and children.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos expressed devastation over the loss. Party spokesman Seye Oladejo described it as “the kind of incident most dreadful for parents,” stating that the entire party structure had been thrown into mourning.

Princess Orelope-Adefulire, a senior presidential aide and influential party leader, served as Lagos Deputy Governor from 2011 to 2015. Further details and burial arrangements are awaited.
