Tinubu Renames Federal University After Late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi

BAUCHI — President Bola Tinubu on Saturday announced the renaming of the Federal University of Health and Medical Science, Azare, Bauchi State, in honor of the late renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

The President made the declaration during a condolence visit to the cleric’s family in Bauchi, describing the late Sheikh as a “pillar who spread knowledge and good character across nations.”

A Tribute to Legacy:
Tinubu praised Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi for his impactful preaching, promotion of honesty, and dedication to Nigeria’s unity. “He loved the country… May Almighty Allah grant him Aljanah Fridaus,” the President said.

Governor Bala Mohammed thanked Tinubu for his show of affection toward the late scholar and the people of Bauchi State, noting that the President had earlier sent high-level delegations before making the personal visit.

The renaming immortalizes the cleric’s contributions to education, moral upbringing, and national cohesion.
