The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated candidates who emerged victorious in the party’s governorship and National Assembly primaries conducted by the National Working Committee (NWC) ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the party described the emergence of the candidates as a reflection of the confidence reposed in their leadership abilities, dedication to service, and commitment to the ideals of the APC.
In a statement signed by the Abia APC Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, the party commended the National Chairman of the APC, Nentawe Yilwatda, and members of the National Working Committee for conducting what it described as a transparent, credible, and fair primary election process.
The party’s governorship candidate is Eric Oprah, while the senatorial candidates are Orji Uzor Kalu, Emeka Atuma, and Erondu Uchenna Erondu.
For the House of Representatives, the successful candidates include Chris Nkwonta, Uzo Azubuike, Udo Alozie, Uzo Ihuka, Chinedum Orji, Benjamin Kalu, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, and Ikenna Ukwa.
The APC also urged aspirants who were unsuccessful in the primaries to remain committed to the party and support the candidates, stressing that unity and collective effort would be crucial to securing victory and taking over governance in Abia State in 2027.
