Abia Homeland Security Agency Suspends Officer Over Alleged Vandalism of Government Property

UMUAHIA, ABIA STATE — The Abia State Homeland Security Agency has suspended one of its personnel, DDL Tochi Oluebube (also identified as Tochi Oluobube), over her alleged involvement in the vandalism of government property in Osisioma Local Government Area.

The suspension was announced on Friday in a statement signed by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ezinwanne Alili, who said the decision follows public concerns raised about the incident.

“The agency has zero tolerance for acts of indiscipline perpetrated by any personnel. This act of vandalism allegedly involving the named personnel will therefore not be an exception,” the statement read.

Oluebube has been placed on suspension pending a full investigation by the Nigerian Police Force. The agency confirmed she will face appropriate disciplinary action in line with the extant Code of Conduct once the police conclude their probe.

Alili assured the public of a thorough, transparent, and impartial investigation, adding that it will be conducted in close liaison with relevant authorities to ensure swift resolution and justice.

The agency further warned that any actions inimical to its mission of protecting and serving the people of Abia State, as directed by Governor Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, will not be tolerated.
