Just 48 hours after their painful Champions League final defeat to PSG, thousands of Arsenal fans troop out for EPL trophy parade in North London, celebrating the club’s first Premier League title in 19 years.
An estimated 250,000 supporters lined the streets from the Emirates Stadium to Islington Town Hall, waving flags and singing chants. The open-top bus parade featured Mikel Arteta, Bukayo Saka, and Martin Ødegaard hoisting the EPL trophy.
“We wanted the double, but this still means everything,” a fan told CDA News. “We’re proud of this team.”
Arteta addressed the crowd: “You lifted us after Wednesday’s heartbreak. This title belongs to you.”
Gabriel Magalhães, who missed the decisive penalty in the UCL shootout, received the loudest cheers. Overcome with emotion, he wiped away tears as fans chanted “Big Gabi, we love you.”
The parade passed without major incident, though police reported 12 minor arrests for public intoxication. Transport for London had earlier warned of severe disruptions.
