The campaign of Hon. Emeka Atuma, the APC senatorial candidate for Abia Central, continued on Friday, 16th October 2026, with a tour of four wards in Osisioma Ngwa, as the party intensified its push ahead of the 2027 elections.
CDA News Nigeria reports that Atuma was accompanied by Hon. Prince Udo Alozie, Hon. Barr. Ogunka Iheanacho, and other party stakeholders.
At Amasator Ward 3, the team visited the palace of HRH Eze S.N. Njoku, who gave his royal blessings. They then moved to the compound of former APC LGA Chairman and State Auditor of the APC, Hon. Emmanuel Nwaohiara, where a large crowd waited.
Iheanacho, APC candidate for Osisioma Ngwa South, urged residents to vote APC, which he described as the only hope to rescue the area from bad leadership.
Alozie, candidate for Osisioma, Obingwa and Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency, said, “Emeka Atuma is a friend of Ndi Ngwa… It is time for us to pay him back.”
CDA News Nigeria gathered that at Odeukwu Ward 18, the team visited two traditional rulers in Umuode. Despite heavy rainfall, a crowd waited at Assemblies of God Church. Atuma decried the state of the roads and promised to attract road projects within months of taking office.
At Isiala Okpu Ward 16, Hon. Chucks Oriaku, DG of the Atuma Campaign Council in Osisioma Ngwa, said, “We have suffered in the hands of bad government in Abia Central.”
The tour ended at Okpu-Umuobo Ward 10, where Atuma thanked residents for their patience and promised not to disappoint them. A reception at Alozie’s residence followed.
