1. EFCC freezes Osun govt account over alleged N11bn fraud
The EFCC on Wednesday explained why it placed a Post No Debit (PND) on the Osun State bank account with First Bank. The anti-graft agency froze the account because of alleged fraudulent handling of N11 billion ecology funds, intervention funds and FAAC allocations, EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale said in a statement .

The Naira on Wednesday depreciated to N1,410 per dollar in the parallel market from N1,406 per dollar on Tuesday. Similarly, the naira depreciated to N1,368.5 per dollar in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) .
4. Dangote Refinery reduces petrol, diesel prices
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot prices of PMS and AGO, a move the company said is aimed at making petroleum products more affordable for Nigerians. The ex-depot price of petrol has been reduced by N50 per litre from N1,215 to N1,165, while diesel now sells at N1,570 per litre, down from N1,650 .

Three children have been found dead at the residence of a female native doctor in Umuoduba Village, Ideani, Idemili North LGA of Anambra State. A fourth child discovered unconscious was rescued and rushed to a hospital, where the police said the victim remains in critical condition .
8. Abia Police arrest 13 suspects over armed robbery, vandalism
The Abia Police Command says it arrested 13 male suspects aged between 20 and 27 over armed robbery, vandalism of government property, and unlawful possession of firearms. Exhibits recovered include locally made pistols, guns, cartridges and a pump-action gun .
